In his personal art practice Andrew Ringler creates interactive public installations leveraging light, sound, sensors and computers that allow participants to create their own novel visual and auditory experiences. While creating immediately accessible works, he challenges participants to invest time and effort exploring the depths of new systems collaboratively, and through that investment receive the pride of achievement and the joy of connecting with others. Ringler also runs the design firm Happen Interactive which focuses on assisting artists in the creation of new interactive works through software, electronics and interaction design expertise.
